The actors playing the lead characters in the upcoming 'Legend of the Seeker' TV series (based on Terry Goodkind's Wizard's First Rule) are announced, including a nice picture of Richard and Kahlan in the TV series.

This is certainly a new TV series I am looking forward too: a 22 episodes TV series adaption of the first Terry Goodkind Sworth of Truth novel Wizard's First Rule. They have named the TV series Legend of the Seeker, and filming has started in New Zealand.

One of my favourite fantasy book cycles is Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth cycle. So it is exciting news that the first book, 'Wizard's First Rule', will be adapted to a TV miniseries, of 22 episodes no less. So can't wait to fall this year.
See the announcement on the official webpage of Terry Goodkind.
30/05: StarWars Fanboys Heaven
The famous princess Leia as slave in golden bikini scene from Return of the Jedi apparently is the secret fantasy of many StarWars fanboys, including even Ross Geller from Friends.
So what can top that? Easy, a dozen slave Leias!

30/01: How it should have ended
Very funny site with animations showing the way films should have ended. My personal favourites are the alternative endings for Lord of the Rings and Star Wars Episode IV.

A complete summary of Starwars Episodes IV and V in an animated GIF under 250 KB? It is possible, here is the proof: Episode IV and Episode V.

16/08: Japanese anti-piracy ad
Anti-piracy ads tend to be very annoying, especially when you are forced to watch the ad each time you start a legally bought full-price DVD without any possibility of skipping it, it almost makes you downloading the illegal version instead.
But at least this Japanese version is artistically more interesting (but very over the top) than the Dutch one.

It seems another one of my favourite books is being adapted for a movie: in this case the great book 'Enders Game' by Orson Scott Card. Click here for more information on the movie preperations.
Also see the IMDB information on this upcoming movie.
A new trailer (Quicktime, 51.9 MByte) has been released as an internet exclusive on the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy movie site. The trailer is also a funny parody on movie trailers in general
Wow! I can't wait to see this movie, this new trailer is really great! (link to BitTorrent file)
On the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy movie website a great trailer is online. Click here for a direct link to the large Quicktime version of the trailer (51.5 MB). Visit the website for more formats.
Can't wait to see the movie (opening date 29 April).
31/01: Mar Adentro
This movie really is a must see: a true story on human dignity and the right to decide about your own life.

On this page you can find a rather comprehensive and interesting comparison, including pictures, of the original 1977 version, the 1997 Special Edition version and the 2004 DVD version of Star Wars: A New Hope.

After a long wait, the original Star Wars trilogy finally is available on DVD. Couldn't wait to buy my copy today ;-)

At the moment a TV production is being filmed of Ursula K. Le Guin's Earthsea novels, one of my fantasy favourits. See this Earthsea website for details.
